Obituary of Tonya Lee Hughes

HUGHES, Tonya Lee (nee Davidson)

Passed away peacefully surrounded by her family after a courageous battle with cancer on August 17, 2018.  Loving wife of Dave.  Devoted mother of Taylor and Carson.  Beloved daughter of Brenda and Wayne Davidson and daughter-in-law of Ed and Therese Hughes.  Proud sister of Greg (Chantelle) and sister-in-law of Katrina (Greg) DeMan.  Cherished aunt of Maxwell, Jack, Kyle and Claire.  Tonya will be lovingly remembered by her family and numerous friends.  The family would like to extend a special thank you to Dr. Jeffrey Rothenstein and the Durham Region Cancer Centre for their tremendous care. 

A Service to Celebrate Tonya’s life will be held at the DeStefano Funeral Home, 1289 Keith Ross Drive, Oshawa (south side of Taunton Road, east of Thornton Road by the Oshawa Airport)905-440-3595 on Thursday, August 23^rd at 2:00PM. Interment will follow at Groveside Cemetery.  In memory of Tonya, donations may be made to the Durham Region Cancer Centre.  Memories may be shared at www.destefanofuneralhomes.ca
