I am very sorry to learn that Doug has passed away. He will be dearly missed. I hope a passage at John 5:28,29 brings comfort to all who are grieving his passing. Let us all look forward to seeing our loved ones again on a beautiful Paradise earth.

As a friend of Andrew's in Winnipeg where he is following in his Grandfathers steps to become an Officer, I want to convey my sympathies to his entire family and pray that they all find peace in knowing that Major Doug who has served our Lord with distinction is now with him in Heaven.

My first recollection of Doug was as a junior bandsman at Lisgar Street corps. Doug was the senior band master. During the summer he would allow us to join the band to help cover vacations. Doug was a wonderful leader, mentor and showed kindness to us. This memory has never faded over the last 60 years. Well done good and faithful soldier. God grant His grace to Sandra, Lyn and Eva and family during this time.
