On February 27th 2019, our beautiful baby boy Jasiah Michael Lawrence was called home to his Father while laying peacefully in the arms of his loving parents and family.

Jasiah was born prematurely at just 23 weeks gestation on April 22, 2018. He spent 295 days at the hospital between Mount Sinai and Sick Kids and had many tribulations and triumphs. 

Jasiah was a warrior and from the beginning he fought so hard to live, but unfortunately his chronic lung disease worsened due to a lung infection, causing him to become very ill and unable to recover.

Jasiah was a beautiful soul. He loved listening to music (especially classical), playing with his toys, eating yummy food and cuddling with mom, dad and family.

Despite his hardships he always had a smile on his face. He made everyone fall in love with him.

Though we only had a short time with Jasiah he had such a profound impact on our lives and we will forever be a gift we are grateful for.

Family and friends will remember Jasiah for his incredible strength and his ability to brighten anyone's day. 

Visitation will be held at DeStefano Funeral Home, 1289 Keith Ross Drive, Oshawa (south side of Taunton Road, east of Thornton Road by the Oshawa Airport)905-440-3595 on Thursday March 14^th from 4:00 – 7:00 pm, and Friday March 15^th from 9:00 am.    A funeral service will be held at in The Chapel at 10:00 am.  Burial will follow directly after at Duffin Meadows Cemetery. Pickering.  A reception will be held following the burial.

In lieu of flowers, donations on behalf of Jasiah can be made to Mount Sinai Hospital's NICU.
