Randy...a wonderful being!
At the lake he waits
Dad and his brothers are bringing the bait
It’s early, there’s a mist, the sun is hot
Off they row to their favourite fishing spot.
Learning all about adult life
Soon he has a wonderful wife
Can you imagine he’s building cars
Loving all his famil and friends, some from afar.
Later on in his life he reflects
In the boat sit Max and Alex
Meghan and Marlene are convinced they’re afloat
Safely inside a fancy new boat.
Randy, a boy, a teen, a man, a dad,
Lucky for him to be the best grandad
Marlene is smiling, a happy Mimi
A beautiful memory to hold on to...c’est famille!
Farewell Randy

Our deepest condolences to the Badgley & Taylor families. Randy was truly a wonderful guy. And such a kind soul. Always offering to help out or lend a hand. Randy always had an interesting observation or point of view. His dry wit always made me laugh. Randy will truly be missed.

Randy was always a lot of fun to be around. I was very lucky to have him as a cousin and friend. Randy had a big heart and was very loyal to friends and family. We had many laughs together over the years. We both shared a love of the outdoors and nature. Randy studied Geology at University and we would talk of one day exploring Western Canada or going north on an epic hunting trip. He loved his family most. He was very proud of his grandsons and his daughter Meghan.
As young men we would laugh and party all night. What I enjoyed most was drinking early morning coffee with Randy and laughing about the previous night’s adventures. Randy always made you feel welcome when you would visit. I stayed at Randy and Marlene’s place on many trips and was as happy as a clam. I will miss you brother. You never complained about anything. I hope we meet again some day.

My deepest condolences to Marlene, Meaghan, Shaun, and the Badgley Family. Uncle Randy was one of the kindest souls. He never had anything bad to say about anyone and managed to see the positive in everyone! He was full of information and was always willing to lend a hand. Even when he wasn't feeling well, he was still helping out others and showing his great hospitality offering coffee etc... He was a man who never asked for the slightest favour and never wanted anyone to make a fuss over him or to create even the slightest inconvenience for anyone else. He also expressed great gratitude for the small gestures - always insisting that we didn't need to do whatever it might be.
On a personal note, I am blessed with many fond memories of him over the years, from eating roast beef sandwiches with him and Aunt Marlene watching Das Boot to Sunday night drives home to Toronto during my years there, to more recent times spent together at the lake. I was lucky to have such a wonderful uncle. Every time I see a turtle or turtle crossing, I will no doubt remember how he would stop his truck to usher the turtles to safety, worried about their fate. I picture him up in heaven rubbing his beard and watching over Max and Alex. We will be very missed. He was a lovely man.

So sad to hear of the passing of such a wonderful soul. Randy had a huge heart, which was matched only by his sense of humor.
He would weave such amazing stories about growing up with my Dad and the trouble they caused. His love for life will surely be missed.
Condolences to Marlene and family at this difficult time.
