I was saddened by hearing of Dave's passing, although we lost touch over the years, I would talk to car buffs at the local shows and Dave's name would come up frequently. My condolences to his family and loved ones, he will be missed. Rest in peace big guy..

I remember Dave from high school. We were not in the same class but in those days you knew everyone. I remember him as a gentle guy with a great sense of humour. My deepest condolences to his family. A great loss.

Annette and family we are both sadden to hear of Dave's passing. He certainly was a lifetime friend of ours and he was always talking and commenting with us through Facebook. We shared so many old songs from our 60's era and he had such a volume of knowledge on politics, old cars and music which we discussed daily. It was certainly nice to reconnect with Dave and Annette after their move back from Goderich, Cochrane down to Oshawa. Rest in peace Dave. Hugs to you Annette.

Brenda and I would like to express our deepest condolences to Annette and family. Dave and I go a long way back.
We met in grade ten at Newmarket High School. Dave actually spoke first.Just a little thing that I remember.
Dave was very instrumental in the shaping of my future. We became instant best buddies. We hung around together
all the time. We became known as big Dave and little Dave. Where one was, the other wasn't far away. We became
blood brothers by cutting our little fingers and pressing them together to mix the blood. We said some kind of
oath to cement it. We had many great times together. I also wore all black through those years. I remember how
he used to get a kick out of frustrating me, for instance when we were touring the strip in Newmarket or actually
anywhere, if it started to spit on the windsheid, he would turn on his wipers to smear everything. If I told him
that I couldn't see, he would answer "Don't worry, neither can I". Or when we would both do or say the same thing.
I would say "Great minds think alike." and then Dave would say "Fools seldom differ" just to watch my reaction. I
wish I could remember more but a good memory was not in my cards. Dave had a tremendous memory. We separated for a
while back in the mid seventies, but reconnected in the eighties. Since then, even though we had our own families,
we managed to meet occasionally. For the last few years, we would meet up on a Saturday night in Newmarket for
dinner and then go to the car show in Sharon. I could always get information about our earlier years because of
Dave's super memory. Since the car show at Sharon ended, we would still meet up in Newmarket for lunch and a chat.
It was one of those times that Dave and Annette and Brenda and myself met for lunch on Thursday May 23. Then the
next day, I got the call. I feel very fortunate to have seen Dave that day. Rest in peace brother.

I am so very sorry to hear of Dave's passing. He was one of my Aquafit class friends for the last few years. He also served on OSCC 55+ committees at Delpark Centre (formerly Legends) with me and many others (including leadership and Continuing Education committees) and was the driving force behind our successful OSCC Car Show last year. Last Wednesday, when I last saw him at Aquafit, we were talking about this years car show in September and he had a lot of plans for it and he was quite excited about it. A few of us had committed to help him again. He was also talking about restoring a Desoto car that he had..... Gone way too soon..... He was a lovely man, so kind, always willing to help anyone, with a quiet gentle thoughtful manner. In committees, he provided thoughtful ideas for increasing the programs offered for men with OSCC and contributed to our branch leadership roles. He will be sorely missed by so many who knew him but his contribution will live on. I will miss him greatly. Rest in peace my friend.
