My sincerest condolences to Lindsay, Foster, Jesse, Ashton, Bill, and Alison.
Louise, Annabelle, and Gray... I suspect you already know this...but in addition to being a fierce competitor and a humble leader on the lacrosse field, your dad was also a great friend to the guys who grew up with and those he got to know, like me, over the course of a few months over a couple of summers. It was my honor to know Matt and play for the team he so ably led by example, and always with a smile.
Your memory will be attached to the two great summers I spent in Toronto playing for your Beaches in 1992 and 1993.

Firstly I would like to send my thoughts and prayers to Lindsay and the kids, Jesse (Sarah), Foster and the rest of the McLean family. I have a few memories of Matt. My first was when we were in high school and Jesse was running for Student Council and they did a skit together (Jesse, Foster, and ,Matt) and they all claimed to be the real Jesse. I think he was Jesse number 1. It was real funny. The other two memories I have both were recently. The first being when we all were at a funeral for a friend that his brother had passed. We both were in different circle in school him being the athletic one and popular, me not so much. I had done SOMA/world affairs with Jesse but only knew Matty to see him. It was a shock at first that he knew who I was but that was his genuine character coming through and we had a good conversation, I don't necessarily remember what we talked about but it was a good conversation. The other recent memories was at East General ( Michael Garron) and Lindsay you were with him. My mom was going through chemo at the same time as he was. I remember looking over at him and thinking I recognize him and he was thinking the same but both of us couldn't place where we had seen each other. It was a few weeks later and I had run into Sarah and Jesse that I knew it was him.
Great Man gone to soon. Rest in piece Matty and scores those many goals in that great game in the sky ;)

I'm in shock and disbelief. I haven't seen Matt in many years but it seems like yesterday we were running down the lacrosse for together with the Beach team.
