My heart is so sad.
Uncle Laurn was a wonderful man who loved his family very much. He told great stories of our family. I always looked forward to going to Laurn and Linda's place. So many fun times and great memories made. Big hugs to Linda and the family.

Remembering Laurn
From a young girl I remember Laurn living with us in my parents home in Scarborough. After he left for work I would rush to the basement to make his bed....knowing I would find change.
Giving him back scratches for a quarter (When we could actually buy things for 25 cents)
Listening to him telling ghost stories at the cottage (then petrified to go to sleep)
Catching my cousin Di and I hitching hiking in Florida
His love for his cats Tara and Floyd. And his love a special care for our dog Jinky (his winter home). We would get the detailed report on him when we got home with added tips from what he likes best and how I should wash his toys (dollies) safely
Family gatherings-especially Christmas running off with the tray of Christmas cake and mincemeat tarts before anyone had a chance to get any
And being our neighbour
Laurn you will be dearly missed

Whenever we think of Laurn we recall his bright smile. He always made us feel welcome into his home and into his family. His love for his family was evident. Our hearts go out to all of the family and hope that the memories of your years together will help you during this difficult time.
