I have special memories of time spent with Maureen. We had a wonderful trip to Alaska while we were in BC followed by enjoying the fellowship at her Corps/Church, having her invite me to their seniors group where she was very involved. Then when we moved back to Toronto and our dentist was in Markham our fine time was a visit together- sometimes with a lovely lunch in her condo, but most of the time it was to visit the mall and have lunch and, of course, coffee at Tim’s, then a walk around and any shopping we needed to do. I was happy for her when she moved closer to family but sad for myself. I have missed her and every time I go to the dentist now, which is always four times a year these special times flood my mind and I am so grateful for them. Then there were the special Christmas Eve times with Barb,Dave and the whole Speed family, until Maureen could no longer be there. She was such a blessing, lots of fun and a great encourager. I will never forget those times and who she was, which is very well expressed in her obituary. Missing her but this past year has been rough health wise and she is at peace and as we say in The Salvation Army Promoted to Glory.
