Marg and Fred were so kind to me all the years, from when I first met them in 1964 or '65, after arriving in Ajax. Dear Mr. Fred Pleasants, Mark, April, John, Michael, and all family members,
This is Dr. Tom Penland, retired Head of School, at Taejon Christian International School and Gyeonggi Suwon International School in South Korea. We had the privilege of working with and having Mark, April, John, and Michael in our TCIS community for many years. All of them brought so much to our school and community. I want to say thank you on behalf of all of our GSIS & TCIS stakeholders for sharing them with us and supporting their stay in South Korea for the good of our community,
I was on a recruitment trip to the USA/Canada some years ago accompanied by Mark. We were driving back from Kingston to Toronto and met with Fred and Margaret off an exit near the expressway and their home. I will never forget my encounter with Mark's mom and dad. I saw the precious humility and integrity that Mark and April demonstrated in our school community during my short visit with Fred and Margaret.
I know this is a difficult time for everyone. Please know and I hope be comforted in the fact that people all over the world are praying for all of you at this time. We love you for sharing your family with us and we share your grief with you. May God bless us all.
