Richard and Cheryl: I was shocked and saddened to hear about the loss of your daughter. I can't imagine the feelings that you experienced back in early March, and are still feeling now, but rest assured that our thoughts and prayers are with you. From your words in Mackenzie's obituary it is clear that the world has lost a special soul, but what it your loss for now is heaven's gain. May you always cherish the memories of your time with her.

Dear Cheryl, Richard, Nicholas and Anthony
I am so sorry for your loss. I can't begin to imagine the pain of losing someone so beautiful inside and out. Mackenzie was one of the first friends I made at Bosco. I remember going to your house and putting the sprinkler under the trampoline and running around in circles to see who would fall first. Every time one of us would fall we would laugh so hard. I still have that commercial we filmed and edited about a perfume for one of our class projects. We thought it was a masterpiece and we had so many laughs making it. Even though Mackenzie and I grew apart, some of my favourite memories as a child were with her. Mackenzie had the kindest soul and was so beautiful and talented. Mackenzie will always be remembered. Your family is in my thoughts and prayers. May she Rest in Peace.

I am so sorry for your loss. I worked with Mackenzie last summer and we very quickly became friends. Every minute spent with Mackenzie was always so much fun. She had the kindest heart and was always smiling. She brought so much joy to those around her and I will always hold onto the memories we shared. Although I only knew Mackenzie for a short amount of time, she made a huge impact on my life. You and your family are in my thoughts and prayers. Rest in peace Mackenzie.

We are so deeply sorry to hear of your loss of your beautiful Mackenzie.
We have such fond memories of our time together during volleyball and we will always remember her for her happy, enthusiastic, and positive spirit. She was an outstanding athlete who always supported her teammates. She was always first to celebrate a solid block or hit and always lifted a teammate up when they were down. Dear Geofroy family,
No words can describe the type of friend Mackenzie was to me. Mackenzie always made sure that I was doing well before telling me how she was doing. We didn't need to talk everyday for me to know that she'd be there for me whenever I needed, and for that I'm forever grateful. We would compete against each other each semester to see which one of us could achieve the highest average in school, and encourage each other to do our best. I was so excited when I got her a job where I work, we'd often take our lunch breaks together and laugh the entire time. She was the type of friend that made it possible to forget about anything bothering me, and her energy never failed to make me smile. Mackenzie was truly one of the best friends I could ever ask for, and I will strive to be as supportive to everyone in my life as she was to me. Gone but never forgotten, may Mackenzie rest in peace.

Dear Cheryl, Richard, Nick & Anthony,
I always admired Mackenzie's beautiful smile and bubbly personality - so obviously proud of her big brother (even if she might not admit it!) and most adoring of her younger brother, she was her own person, who loved to play board games, while munching on as many sweets as she could find in the house! I was blessed to be able to spend at least some time watching Mackenzie develop from a cute and curious little girl into a beautiful and bright young woman. My heart aches so much for all her dear family and friends! May we all find peace and solace in our fond memories! With much love always,

Dearest Andrew, Cheryl, Nicholas, Anthony and family,
Sending you all our most heartfelt and deepest condolences.
It is my prayer that God will comfort you and your whole family during this extremely difficult and devastating time. May he richly bless you as you mourn, and may the light of His presence be a continual source of consolation.
There is no possible way to express the sorrow we all are feeling, knowing you are having to bear a loss so profound. Love and prayer offers strength in the toughest of moments but also hearing these beautiful memories of how Mackenzie touched the lives of so many people offers even more awareness and insight into the special and radiant soul she was. I was blessed to meet and get to know Mackenzie as a child and create some very sweet and precious memories together. My fondest memory that comes to mind was a family trip we all took to Aruba for her aunt’s wedding. I can still vividly remember her beaming gorgeous smile and hear her laughter as we engaged in all kinds of fun and silly activities . Whether playing in the sand, splashing in the ocean, looking for sea shells or just being in her company, it is evident that she brought happiness and joy to every single one of us each day there. Ingrained in my mind is the moments spent with this fun loving child, who fearlessly jumped into waves and picked up sea urchins that even the adults wouldn’t touch. It is on this trip that my admiration for your beautiful daughter grew for I was able to get to know and see firsthand the amazing child you were raising and who she was at her heart. Years later I attended a special anniversary party for Carol and Richard and got to see Mackenzie grown up as lovely young woman. Still so kind, endearing and vibrant. Just as happy and full of life as I remembered her. I can only imagine the impact your daughter had on this world and all those who were lucky enough to be graced by her presence. May she Rest In Peace with our Heavenly Father and may he grant you all the courage, hope and strength you will need in the days ahead.
You are all in our constant thoughts and prayers. God bless.

Dear Cheryl, Richard, Nicholas and Anthony:
We are so sad to hear of the passing of your beautiful Mackenzie. We have so many happy memories of Mackenzie. Her kindness to Chloe when she joined the team is something we have always appreciated and will never forget. Cheryl, she had your great gift of making others feel included and welcome. As we got to know Mackenzie through volleyball, we enjoyed her intelligence, thoughtfulness and quiet sense of humour. Her smile seemed somehow to show her inner beauty. We’ve spent many hours these last few days remembering Mack. We’ve laughed and smiled and cried. She had the ability to touch us all. We are so sorry for the pain your family is experiencing and pray that you will find peace.
Much love to your family, John, Deb and Chloe Leguard

Dear Cheryl and family,
We had the privilege of watching Mackenzie grow as a person and as a volleyball player for more than three years. Always with an infectious smile, she knew where to be on the court and how to make a good play when it mattered most. Her kind and caring personality visibly had a huge impact on her teammates. Please accept our sincere condolences in this time of unimaginable loss. We pray that the love of our Savior Jesus Christ will be a light through this dark time.

Dear Cheryl, Richard, and family
I want to begin by mentioning that my heart goes out to you and my thoughts and prayers are with you in this time of grief. Mack was someone that I knew I could never forget from the day I met her at my first volleyball tryout. Something about her smile stuck with me throughout the years. She was someone who sought solution and happiness for others regardless of what it took; truly a selfless, beautiful soul. I am so grateful to have spent my two short years in club volleyball with such an individual who brought nothing but precious memories. Nonetheless, it has been a blessing in my life to have known your beautiful daughter. I pray that she has found her peace.
“So with you: Now is your time of grief, but I will see you again and you will rejoice, and no one will take away your joy” John 16:22
As you go through this difficult time, remember that you are so loved.
Until we meet again, Mack.
Love,
Nadia Lindner and family

Dear Cheryl and Family
I have started to write something 4 times now, and each time I honestly don't know what to say, or how to express my condolences to you and all of your family.
Chad Feltham shared a picture with me yesterday, and similar to the pictures Kristen just posted, there's Mackenzie with a huge smile. I remember one tournament when one of the referee's approached me, he went on to tell me how much he enjoyed seeing her growth as a volleyball player. Turns out he'd coached Mackenzie at a summer camp and she couldn't figure out the overhand serve and there she was just a few months later, with an overhand serve. I keep thinking and remembering all the fun times we shared, and I hope with time, that the pain will lessen and you can remember the good times, and Mackenzie's infectious smile.
My heartfelt condolences.

From the first time I met Mackenzie at volleyball tryouts we clicked right away, and our friendship only got stronger over the years. She was the most kindhearted, gentle, caring girl and was beautiful inside and out. She always put other people before herself, never failed to light up any room she walked into, and her smile was contagious. I am so insanely thankful for all the memories her and I were able to make over the years and they'll remain in my heart forever and always.
I am so sorry for your loss. No amount of words are able to describe the pain that you are going through. My family and I are sending you an endless amount of love and prayers.

Cheryl & Richard, my family and I are heartbroken to hear this sad news of the loss of your daughter,...
Mackenzie, known to her friends as Mack was a great athlete, with the brightest smile that made you instantly love her until you were on the other side of one of her volleyball serves. She was always first to volunteer to aid her teammates in improving their skills to make the team greater.
Beautiful inside and out, Mack always cared about those around her and never hesitated to find a way to make her friends and family smile. Your family is in our hearts and thoughts at this time, I hope and pray that you hold onto the warm and wonderful memories you have shared with Mack and that they continue to bring you comfort and peace.
The world has lost an incredible life, Heaven has gained an angel,...
You have our sincere condolences, our deepest sympathies and our unending love.
