My sincerest condolences to Colin's entire family. He has been in my prayers for many months, and I was very sad to hear of his passing. I mostly knew Colin as a kid; we spent our childhood growing up together as Colin's dad Geoff and my late father were best friends. I have many wonderful memories spending time with Colin; downhill skiing and ski-dooing in the winters at our chalet's and waterskiing and barefooting in the summers and rides on the Mitchell's boat.
I know how challenging the next days/weeks/months and years will be for you to live without the person you love. I will continue to pray for your family. May you find strength to live your life to the fullest just as Colin lived his.
Sincerely,
Holly deWinter (nee Bachly) and family

Although I only had the chance to meet and work with Colin his last few weeks, I will fondly remember our time together. He always had a big smile on his face, very welcoming, thankful, and always up for a good chat! I won't forget when he told me he got some Christmas lights.. 10 boxes of them! He really loved seeing his colorful Christmas lights! See ya later, Bro!!

Dearest Jessica and Family. Ron and I were so pleased when you and Colin purchased our Motorhome. Colin was so excited and he spoke of how he was going to enjoy taking his family for many outings. I hope that you guys had a chance to travel with it. We couldn't have wished for a better family to pass it on to. Take care Jessica and remember if there is anything that we can do just give us a holler. Much love Ron and Bonnie Thompson. (from Trenton)

So sorry to hear about the passing of Colin. Our deepest condolences to Geoff, Mary and the rest of his loving family. My company Dean Chandler has relied on both Geoff and Colin over the years with the servicing of our fleet of vehicles starting back when their shop was still in Scarborough. We kept up with them when they moved the business to Pickering based on the fact that they were both standup guys, trust worthy and honorable people who made sure they looked out for their customers. The last several years we had been dealing more with Colin and less with Geoff although Colin certainly reminded me quite a bit of his father. It was a pleasure to have known him and I appreciate what Colin and his father have done for us over the years.
We offer our best wishes to the Mitchell family during this difficult time.

I'm deeply saddened to hear of Colin's passing. My condolences to everyone close to him. I just wanted to share a lovely memory I have of spending time with Colin and his family at their chalet when I was a young lad attending E.B Phin. I'll never forget being taught how to ski by Colin and his father. Thank you Colin. You will be missed. Cody Purchase

To Mary and Geoff, Bradley and Lin and extended family...your choice of words to describe Colin's caring and loving life are so special, I wish I had known him better...you both reflected such pride in your son when you spoke of him. I remember going to the maternity ward with Sandy when Colin was born and Geoff brought a bottle of champagne so we could toast their first born. My thoughts are with all of you as you manage this profound loss...may happy memories prevail for all of you.
With love, Laurie MacNab, Milton

We are deeply saddened to hear of the passing of Colin. Even though we only met six years ago, through his work, I feel like we are saying goodbye to a family member. He always made time for us, even though he was so busy running the shop. From day one Colin's genuine kindness, avid enthusiasm for life and family, and of course, that smile shone through. Through the brief interaction I had with his parents throughout the years, I can see where he learnt this from. What a testimony to a beautiful upbringing!
My young son will always remember him as the guy who snuck him more chocolate when I came to drop my vehicle off, or the guy that let him "drive the school bus". He always spoke proudly of his children, often sharing stories of their accomplishments or their mischeivious antics. Our hearts go out to Mary and Geoff, and the rest his family. May you find some comfort in knowing you will never know how many lives Colin touched and improved for the better. Colin was one of the genuinely beautiful individuals in this world we had the pleasure of meeting. He truly lived the life he was meant to live and will never be forgotten.
