Obituary of Joyce Anne Shestowsky

SHESTOWSKY (Downey); Joyce Ann Letha passed away on March 15, 2022 surrounded and comforted by the love of her family at Oak Ridges Hospice, Port Perry after a courageous battle with cancer. Joyce was a strong, positive woman who lit up every room she stepped into. She made an incredible impact on everyone she met, she was bursting with life and always had a smile on her face. She was everyone’s Mama and Nan.

Beloved wife of Frank Canonico, devoted and loving mother of Tracy and her husband Chris Tutton, Tania and her husband Bill Cook, Darren and his wife Tracy Shestowsky and step mother to Jason and Paul Canonico.

Proud and Cherished Nan of Chad and his wife Christina, Brodie, Keenan and his fiancé Jenna, Braedyn, Tanner, Tye, Ella, Cameron and Charlotte. 

Dearest sister and best friend Jean and her late husband Ray Hedditch, brothers Carl and Kenny Downey, predeceased brothers Ronnie, Dougie, and Donnie Downey, her mother Letha Downey, Father Vic Costor and late ex-husband Myron Shestowsky. 

Joyce devoted her life to her family and will be lovingly remembered by her many nieces, nephews, their families and friends. A Celebration of Life will be held in the Spring of 2022. Please send email to Darren.shestowsky@gmail.com if you wish to be kept informed of the date.
