I first met Austin back in the '80s while working at St. Marys Cement. He was a truly unique character who has left us way too soon and will be missed by all who knew him. My condolences to all his family and friends.

My son and I enjoyed our time together at the" Time Program" where Austin volunteered his many social skills helping people of all ages regain their ability to walk again, he gave my son the unbelievable gift of confidence after he suffered a stroke that left him in a wheel chair, Austin was always smiling while holding him up as he tried walking up the steps, The numerous classes he participated in while attending the Abilities Center were made to be a pleasant experience for my son and myself because of his presence.

I am so saddened to hear this. Austin was more than a coworker, he was a mentor and a friend. He was an inspiration to all.
As I go throughout the day I would often think I will have to tell Austin this or that.
I will miss him.
Condolences to everyone.

Condolences to the McMurdo family.
As you are aware Laura, Butch grew up with Austin and has too many happy childhood memories to list in this small space but suffice it to say playing road hockey was top
of the list.
We hope your happy times with Austin will bring smiles to you faces always ❤️

My condolences to Austin's family, I was very sorry to hear of his passing. I worked with Austin for a number of years at St Marys Cement, not on a frequent basis, but whenever he was in our office he would drop by and visit and it was always good to see him and share a few jokes and catch up on things. He always had a smile on his face and it was always a pleasure dealing with him.
Condolences, Neil
