The posted photo of Ron says it all .. beautiful smile , kind eyes open heart to all who crossed his path . Ron lived out his faith daily with a joie de vivre rarely witnessed ; with his soulmate Ann by his side who emulates the same . Ron walked and laughed the talk . His legacy will live on in his beautiful family ..the love was palpable .Rest well in the palm of His hand my friend .

I was blessed to have the privilege to know Ron Botell for so many years - since 1983. He is a man of faith, a man of extraordinary generosity, a man of exemplary service to the needy and all. His wife Ann is also a dear friend. He was a big man - not just in body - but in his heart, in his spirit, in his faith. Rarely did I encounter people of his calibre. I would like to express my deepest condolences to the entire family - with best regards.

Wow , as heavy hearted as l feel right now l also can’t help but smile as l think about Mr. Botell and his entire family. Our families were intertwined through the seventies with hockey. Although he was an imposing figure , his kindness, generosity, humour , faith and friendship were even more imposing. My Dad and Mr. Botell were friends and hockey tournaments were always memorable for as much off the ice as on. Life gets in the way and you lose touch with people, but l was fortunate to reconnect with Mr. and Mrs. Botell during COVID and they made me feel like l was that young teenager again. That is the gift of the Botell family. Smiling now , l say RIP Mr. Botell , it was a pleasure . Phil Shcherbak…

If you have met Ron you know you had made a friend forever. Wayne and I were fortunate to work with Ron at Haughton Graphics then bless to have Ron and Ann as neighbours on Sundance Circle. Many afternoons and evenings were spent enjoying his friendship and playing practical jokes on each other.
Ron will be fondly remembered for his laughter and caring nature.

Uncle Ron was a good family friend and was easy to talk with. He always joined in on the Christmas celebrations that were held at Gerry & Carol Brunton home. This was a great time to share with the whole family. Ron will be missed our thoughts are with the whole family. Susan Brunton -Tweddell
