Obituary of Nora Geraldine McCarney

Nora Geraldine McCarney October 19, 1949 – March 8, 2019

On Friday March 8, 2019 at 8:35am Nora passed away peacefully at Lake Ridge Oshawa Hospital with her two devoted children by her side, who she loved more than anything in the world.  

Nora will be dearly missed by her son, Paul McCarney, (Spouse, Laura), Daughter, Tracy McCarney, (Spouse, Trevor), Grandchildren, Conor, Aidan, Kieran, Eoghan, Regan, Briget, Liam, Dryden, Owen and all her family & friends in Canada and back home in Ireland.

I’ll carry you, when you need a friend, you’ll find my footprints in the sand….

A special thanks to all the nurses at the Lake Ridge Oshawa Hospital on the palliative care floor 4F. We thank you with all our hearts for providing such loving care. Anita, Denise, Diane, Jodi, Karen, Lori Ann, Maggie, Mark, Mary, Mercedes, and Dr. Vieira

Visitation will be held at the DeStefano Funeral Home, 1289 Keith Ross Drive, Oshawa (south side of Taunton Road, east of Thornton Road by the Oshawa Airport)905-440-3595 on Sunday March 24^th from 1:00 pm – 2:00 pm.  A Celebration of Nora’s life will be held in the DeStefano Chapel at 2:00 pm.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made in Nora McCarney’s name to the Cairn Terrier Club of Canada or Hearth Place Cancer Support Center in Oshawa.
